Event

Apparat (live), Markus Guentner (live)

08. July 2005, 20:30

Concert

At the opening event, two concerts will take place simultaneously: in the Edith-Ruß-Haus and in the Kunstverein. The project-related “synchronization” of the spaces is put to the test by the diversity of the music.

The Kunstverein will be played without any beats at all: Markus Guentner from Regensburg is regarded as an exceptional talent and pioneering ambient producer who has released numerous maxis and albums on the Cologne label Kompakt, among others.

The Edith-Ruß-Haus will be filled with lots of beats: Apparat from Berlin is one of the most renowned German techno musicians, his style mix of broken beats, harmonic elements and driving rhythms is considered unique worldwide.

Both concerts will be broadcast via the internet to outdoor loudspeakers in front of the other venue. During the one-and-a-half-hour gigs, visitors can wander back and forth between the venues to explore sound, space and time.
