The young Taiwanese artist Liu Chi-Tung’s work deals with the problem of rivers that have been covered by concrete and forgotten. During her lecture, Liu Chi-Tung will introduce the recent history of Taiwanese rivers and present her performative art project Dwelling in the Invisibility, which deals with the inaccessible river flowing through Tainan in southern Taiwan.

Liu Chi-Tung is currently a guest artist at Lokatorne – Place for Antidisciplinary Activities, a space in Szczecin run by Karolina Breguła and Weronika Fibich. Liu Chi-Tung’s lecture at the House of Media Art is organized in collaboration with the Fotoaura Institute of Photography in Tainan, Taiwan.
