On December 7, 2016, there will be an artistic presentation by Anke Fischer and students from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg at 19:00 in the Edith-Russ-Haus.
Students of performative artistic media practice at the Institute of Art and Visual Culture invite you to a collective half-sleep. The group of readers works with lists of all their sleeping places and speaks a canon as a published overnight performance. The group chants names and times in chorus.
It invites all interested parties to entrust themselves to the rotating quotes from travel notes, logbooks, diaries and memories, to dawn or actively participate in the evening reconstruction matrix of their own mobility and the assembled biographies of all the protagonists.
The event is part of the accompanying program of the exhibition Kabbo ka Muwala [The Girl’s Basket] – Migration and Mobility in Contemporary Art in South and East Africa at the Städtische Galerie Bremen, which runs from 25 September to 11 December 2016.
