Under the motto “Trans…ition!”, the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art and the Autonomous Feminist Department of the University of Oldenburg invite you to take a practical look at gender categories in a mixture of guided tour and workshop on the second weekend in June.
Together with theater pedagogue Meike Schröer and cultural scientist Lou Kordts, we leave the binary of gender categories behind us and find new, queer-feminist interpretations of the current exhibition “Wild – Transgender and the Communities of Desire”.
Playful elements invite you to physically empathize and empathize. Gender is artistically and theatrically deconstructed and reconstructed, unhinged and made visible in multi-layered variations.
The event will take place twice, namely
on Saturday, June 10, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and
on Sunday, June 11, 12 to 4 p.m. in the Edith-Russ-Haus.
Registrations are accepted until Thursday, June 8 by calling 0441 235-3275 or sending an e-mail to museumsvermittlung@stadt-oldenburg.de.
