Information evening and discussion: Transidentity in the workplace

07. June 2017, 17:00

Info event

On the occasion of Christopher Street Day and the exhibition “WILD – Transgender and the Communities of Desire” at the Edith-Russ-Haus for Media Art, CSD Nordwest e.V. is organizing an information evening on this topic followed by a discussion.

Transidentity in the workplace is a complex and sometimes difficult topic that raises many questions. Which profession do I choose? What do my colleagues, superiors and customers say? Will I lose my job….?

We want to approach this topic with the help of Sabrina and Jen, who will talk about their own personal experiences. Guests are welcome to join in.

Dr. Lüder Tietz, ethnologist at the University of Oldenburg, will moderate the event. The language of the event is German.

The event will take place on Wednesday, June 7, 7 pm, in the seminar room of the Edith-Russ-Haus, admission is free. The current exhibition “Wild” will be open that evening until 7 pm. As part of the cooperation with the CSD, admission to the exhibition will also be free on Christopher Street Day – Saturday, June 17.
