Once again this year, the scholarship holders of the Lower Saxony Foundation’s scholarship for media art will be presenting their projects at the Edith-Russ-Haus. Kerstin Ergenzinger, Antoine Schmitt and Christoph Wachter / Mathias Jud were selected by the international jury to realize their proposals for new artworks in 2012 and are currently working on their projects. On this evening, they will provide insights into their plans, the current state of affairs, talk about experiments, artistic points of view and difficulties and in this way allow the Oldenburg audience to participate in the creation of internationally significant media art.

On this evening, the scholarship holders will be welcomed for the first time by Dr. Claudia Giannetti, the new artistic director of the Edith-Russ-Haus, who will take up her post on October 1, 2012. Joachim Werren, Secretary General of the Lower Saxony Foundation, will be present and present the twelve-year partnership between the Lower Saxony Foundation and the Edith-Russ-Haus, which has enabled the realization of 29 diverse, unusual art projects in the past, some of which have been awarded international prizes.
