Marek Toman (*1967 in Prague), writer and journalist, studied philosophy at Charles University in Prague, selection of works: Já [I], poetry collection 1987; Můj Golem / The Prague Golem, novel 2019; Cukrárna u Šilhavého Jima /The Confectionery of Squinting Jim, children’s book 2020; Odsunuté děti /dt. The Expelled Children, comic 2023, translated by Raija Hauck: The original Czech edition from 2021 was awarded the children’s book prize
Zlatá stuha and the comic prize Muriel (for Stanislav Setinský).

Barbara Yelin (*1977 in Munich), comic artist and author, studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. Selection of works: Gift, with Peer Meter 2010; Irmina 2014; Der Sommer ihres Lebens with Thomas von Steinaecker 2017; But I Live / Aber ich lebe – Vier Kinder überleben den Holocaust, anthology with Miriam Libicki & Gilad Seliktar 2022; Emmie Arbel. The Color of Memory 2023: With this,
she was nominated for the German Youth Literature Prize 2024 and awarded the Max and Moritz Prize (special prize, already in 2016 as best German-language artist).
