Workshop: Adapting to Reality

“Walks through the city are an important part of my everyday work. Since 2018, I have started to organize these walks in sequels, from which the project Adapting to Reality has emerged. It consists of two parts. The first part is a study of the city through photography. The second part is to create drawings based on these photographs. I have made a series of works about Ukrainian cities. I am currently rethinking the whole project in the reality of other European cities. In the workshop, after familiarizing the participants with my story, I invite them to take small walks on their own, during which they take photos. After the walks, we will meet again and share our impressions and thoughts about the walks. Then I will involve the participants in the process of selecting the pictures and turning them into drawings. In addition, the participants of the workshop are invited to create their own works and interpret the photos they have taken.” 

The workshop will be held in Ukrainian and English.
