On the occasion of KiBuM 2009 on the subject of “20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall”, the Edith Russ House for Media Art invites you to a film workshop entitled “Blossoming Landscapes”. In 1990, on the occasion of German reunification, the then Federal Chancellor Helmut Kohl declared that the new federal states would soon be transformed “through a joint effort […] back into blooming landscapes”.
Blossoming landscapes therefore stand for personal wishes and public promises. The fairy tale of the land of milk and honey is just around the corner. What things are in our personal land of milk and honey? What have we always wanted and how much of it is good? We put the desired objects together and film the resulting “living picture” (tableau vivant). Changes are allowed, your own ideas are expressly encouraged. We promise!
