As part of the exhibition Black Dogs and Red Forests at the Edith-Russ-Haus, the question quickly arose as to what history of colonial and imperialist thinking the city of Oldenburg actually has. Does Oldenburg even have such a history? And if so, where can traces be found? Do they extend to the present day? Based on these questions, an artistic project for the public space was created, the Dobbenviertel audio tourwhich you can download free of charge. At the center of the audio tour is the Oldenburg 1905 State Exhibition and the so-called Abyssinian Village.
