Workshop

23. – October 24, 2010, 2 – 6 pm (Sat) and 10 am – 12 pm (Sun)
Workshop/training for teachers and other adults
with Christian Gude and Nanna Lüth

Contribution towards expenses: 5 – 15 € / person according to self-assessment

After a joint examination and discussion of various artistic positions that deal critically with media images in very different ways (e.g. also humorously and/or ironically), the focus is on practical application. An introduction to simple animation techniques and a selection of current and historical press photographs serve as starting points for the students’ own film production in small groups. Subsequently, topics, concepts and requirements for animated film work in a school or extracurricular context will be developed, discussed and debated. A short unit on sound and video editing follows on Sunday.

About the lecturers: Christian Gude is a sound artist and teacher, Nanna Lüth is an art educator and head of education at the Edith Russ House.
