Public exhibition tour with Felipe Castelblanco and Dominik Gall
The landscapes in the Andean-Amazonian region of Colombia have historically been characterized by various forms of violence. Starting with the myth of the golden city of El Dorado, a continuity can be traced from colonial tyranny to the armed conflict and the “drug war” of today.
The artist Felipe Castelblanco and Dominik Gall, historian for the history of Latin America, will take visitors on a public tour of the Counter-Expeditions exhibition. In conversation with visitors, they will engage in a dialog between the artistic treatment of Colombia’s history of violence and the historiographical perspective.
Participation is free of charge. The tour will be held in English and German.
