Red Umbrella Struggles is an international group exhibition that explores the controversial and multifaceted topic of sex work. It is based on two newly commissioned works by Petra Bauer and Daniel Jacoby, who received scholarships at the Edith-Russ-Haus in 2018. Both explore the topic through strategies of cooperation and dialog.

Red Umbrella Struggles shows the artistic attempts to develop a better understanding of this difficult topic through dialog with sex workers in such diverse media as photographs, archive materials, installations and documentary films.
