Theater performance on the subject of the colonial past
Colonialism is over. But it still has an impact today in the countries that were once colonized and oppressed. On the occasion of the exhibition When Water Embraces Empty Space, pupils from the BZTG Oldenburg looked at Germany’s colonial past. Together with their teachers Maren Steinkamp and Margit Ostern as well as Gina Schumm (Geschäftsleitung politische Bildung, Jugendkulturarbeit e.V.), they looked at the “Luf-Boot” at the Humboldt Forum Berlin and approached the topic of colonialism in a performative way. They have developed a short theater performance from their experiences and research.
Admission is free.
