This year’s scholarship holders of the Edith Russ House for Media Art present themselves and their current projects.
Made possible by the Lower Saxony Foundation, the Edith Russ House for Media Art has awarded three six-month work grants for 2002, endowed with over 10,000 euros (20,000 DM). The international call for applications was followed by a gratifyingly high number of applications (460) from five continents. A five-member jury headed by Rosanne Altstatt, the director of the Edith Russ House for Media Art, made the award decision.
The scholarships for June – December 2002 go to: Johan Grimonprez (Brussels), Dagmar Keller/Martin Wittwer (Cologne) and Florian Zeyfang (Berlin). On Wednesday, June 12, the scholarship holders will present themselves and their project to the interested public in a discussion. Further activities are planned for the Oldenburg Medienkunsthaus in September/October of this year. The scholarship holders are free to present their multi-media works in the form of an exhibition, a workshop or a specially created ‘special event’.
