Tape Loop Performance with Sascha Bachmann / HAND
On Monday, October 3 at 7 pm, a tape loop performance with the Berlin musician Sascha Bachmann will take place at the Edith-Russ-Haus for the finissage of the exhibition Standard_Deviation II by Rana Hamadeh.
Sascha Bachmann is a trained drummer. Under the pseudonym HAND, he creates experimental music designed for the dancefloor and art space. Sometime in the 80s, he dug out his father’s old Tesla tape recorder. Listening to music with his friends sparked his first interest. A foundation stone was laid and he devoted himself to soundscapes that were brought to life with his sampled heartbeat. Sascha Bachmann sees himself as a progressive musician who is constantly on the lookout for new challenges.
