{"id":7527,"date":"2025-11-16T15:43:55","date_gmt":"2025-11-16T14:43:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/edi-typ-24154.stage.sites.vh3-schrittweiter.de\/veranstaltungen\/darsha-hewitt-electrostatic-bell-choir\/"},"modified":"2025-11-26T15:44:13","modified_gmt":"2025-11-26T14:44:13","slug":"darsha-hewitt-electrostatic-bell-choir","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/edi-typ-24154.stage.sites.vh3-schrittweiter.de\/en\/events\/darsha-hewitt-electrostatic-bell-choir\/","title":{"rendered":"Darsha Hewitt: Electrostatic-Bell-Choir"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Presentation on <strong>Sunday, May 20, 2012, 10 a.m. &#8211; 6 p.m.<\/strong> in the EDITH-RUSS-HAUS event room for media art with an introductory <strong>greeting at 12 p.m.<\/strong><br \/> &nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>What does a television sound like and why can&#8217;t you make music with LCD screens?<br \/>  For the Edith-Russ-Haus, Canadian artist Darsha Hewitt has created the installation Electrostatic Bell Choir, which uses the electrostatic charge of old cathode ray televisions with ironic poetry.<br \/>  Switching the television on and off becomes the trigger for a &#8220;chime&#8221;, which is operated by the electrostatic charge of the screens.
