For years, the ACO live repertoire has consisted of their own compositions and a collection of artist songs created especially for ACO &#8211; some of them as songs, some as ideas, many just as concepts. <\/p>\n<p>Founded in Berlin in 2004, the orchestra around the two founding members Andreas Schlaegel and Raimar Stange quickly gained a reputation as the &#8220;ultimate art rock band of the new millennium: conceptual, punky, sensitive&#8221; (unofficial ACO fan site). The first release, a 12-inch picture vinyl designed by John Bock and Kristine Roepstorff, appeared in 2005 and was even hotly contested by the editors of Frieze Magazine. <\/p>\n<p>In 2008, in addition to various live performances (including in Vienna, Hamburg, Berlin and Oldenburg), ACO concentrated on recording their third album of German rock songs. &#8220;Finally back in the studio!&#8221; enthuses bassist Raimar Stange. The third CD with exclusively own compositions will be released in fall 2008.
