But it still has an impact today in the countries that were once colonized and oppressed. On the occasion of the exhibition <em>When Water Embraces Empty Space<\/em>, pupils from the BZTG Oldenburg looked at Germany&#8217;s colonial past. Together with their teachers Maren Steinkamp and Margit Ostern as well as Gina Schumm (Gesch\u00e4ftsleitung politische Bildung, Jugendkulturarbeit e.V.), they looked at the &#8220;Luf-Boot&#8221; at the Humboldt Forum Berlin and approached the topic of colonialism in a performative way.
